About Me
I am the sixth grade science teacher at Marie Murphy. I have been teaching since 2019, and joined the Avoca District in 2024. I earned both my bachelor’s degree in education and a Master’s in Educational Administration & Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am one of the Marie Murphy Science Olympiad Coaches and a proud District 37 alum. Aside from being an educator, I am a professional photographer and filmmaker, as well as a Summer Camp Director in Evanston, IL.

Statement of Philosophy
Science is a journey of curiosity and discovery. In the sixth grade science classroom, I strive to inspire students to think critically, ask questions, and explore the wonders of the natural world. By fostering a supportive and engaging environment, I aim to nurture a love for learning, empower students to develop problem-solving skills, and help them connect science to their everyday lives.
