8th Grade Fundraiser
Take a night off from cooking and support the Marie Murphy 8th Grade Committee by ordering from Lou Malnati's-Wilmette on Wednesday, March 23 (the first night of conferences!) Lou's will donate 20 percent of all sales that mention the MM 8th Grade Committee, so be sure to either say you're ordering for the Marie Murphy fundraiser - or use the code in the attached flier for online/app orders. Thanks for your support!
Boys Volleyball Conference Champions
Congratulations to Kelli Lane, former MM alumn Jack Mastros, and the Marie Murphy Boys Volleyball Teams on being conference champs! Both our JV and Varsity teams won the regular-season title, and last night both teams capped off a great season by winning the conference tournament!
Student Recognition Ceremony
Last week, outstanding Vikings were recognized before the Board of Education, staff, and their families for their commitments to excellence across multiple disciplines as nominated by district staff. This year, students were nominated for demonstrating values consistent with District values:
- Having high expectations
- Fostering collaboration
- Striving for excellence
- Developing relationships
- Contributing to the community
The Avoca West Concert Choir kicked off the event with their performance of "Let the Chorus Sing," led by Ms. Weismehl.

Congratulations to Mr. Hammond, Ms. Weismehl, AW and MM Concert Choir, and NT Swing Choir vocalists for their performances last week as we celebrated the return of singing and music in our schools month!

Avoca Preschool Enrollment
Preschool Enrollment for the next school year is still open. If you are interested, complete the 22-23 Preschool Enrollment form here and return it to Dawn Scaramuzza in the Student Services office, along with a $100 non-refundable application fee.
