About Me
Prior to teaching at Avoca West, I taught one year at Kipling Elementary School in Deerfield, Illinois. I actually completed my student teaching at Avoca West in 5th grade. I'm a Buffalo Grove, Illinois native and Stevenson High School alum. I went to college at the University of Kansas. I have a Bachelor's in journalism and have completed my Master's degree in Teaching from National Louis University. I love being a 4th grade teacher and working with students of all abilities!
Statement of Philosophy
My philosophy of education is that if students put their mind to it they are capable of anything. I believe in encouraging 4th graders to be responsible, independent, respectful, empathetic and kind. I also believe in challenging students at whatever level they are at.
