District Information, Event Details, and Volunteer Opportunities

Vaccination Appointment Assistance
The expected expansion of vaccine eligibility for individuals 16+ years of age is on April 12. Ross Friedman has been volunteering with local groups to locate vaccinations for people and sign them up. He is offering to do the same for any community member who has any eligible family member who has yet to obtain a vaccination.

If you are interested, and in order to get a chance to reserve appointments,
please complete this Google doc. Please note that while the district is grateful for this offer from Ross, the District does not officially endorse this and has no contractual or other arrangement with Ross related to this, i.e. he is not on payroll, etc. Any decision to share information with Ross so he can accomplish this for your family member is entirely between you and Ross.

Avoca Moves to MOD: Important Changes
Don't miss a step during this transition. Review important changes to both schools beginning April 7 as we move to a Modified Onsite Daily schedule:

We're counting down the days to our virtual Silent Auction, which runs from April 19-23, 2021! Each year, district and community members make competitive bids for a cause. From local eatery gift cards to park district family memberships, gym memberships and beauty packages, you're bound to find a great deal for you/your family while helping support local businesses and our district: a WIN WIN WIN! The link for the online auction and more details will be released in the coming days. Questions? Please email Kristen Barry at avocasilentauction@gmail.com

Innovation Grants Donations
This year more than ever, the Innovation Grants Committee is in need of your help to support the program and is asking that each family consider donating what they can. Your donation will go directly towards Innovation Grants. Payments are accepted via cash, checks to the Avoca PTC (Memo: Innovation Grants) or via PayPal. With deep gratitude, we appreciate and thank you for every single donation.
