Don't forget when we return from Spring Break, April 5 & 6 will be planning days for teachers (no student attendance) as they prepare to have many more students onsite everyday for our Modified Onsite Daily Schedule, which starts April 7. Please review and be on the lookout for Principal Hutchison's and Principal Palcer's emails for school-specific information as we transition over.
Spring Staff Luncheons
The PTC is providing lunch for our hard-working teachers and staff at Avoca West and Marie Murphy during Parent Teacher Conferences! This spring, lunch is catered from Corner Bakery. If you signed up to bring food/beverage donations or to assist with setup/cleanup, please review the SignUp Genius: Avoca West and Marie Murphy. Please bring all donations to the respective school office by 10:00 am on March 25. Thank you for all of your support.

Early Childhood Developmental Screening
Avoca School District 37 offers free screenings to district residents, ages 2 ½ to 5, who may have delays in their development. If you wish to make an appointment, please call Pupil Services office at 847-728-4142. The final scheduled screening for this school year is Monday, April 5, 2021. For more information about the screening and COVID-19 protocols, please click here.
Annual Silent Auction: April 19-23
Mark your calendars and join us virtually this year for the Silent Auction, from April 19 through the 23rd! Unlike past years, the auction will run entirely online! Browse through and competitively bid on hot-ticket and favorite items and services from Shred415, Chicago Academic Tutoring, the Wilmette & Glenview Park Districts, Starbucks, Classic Kids, & much more! 100% of all proceeds benefit the Avoca PTC and is our largest fundraiser of the year! 5Essentials Survey
The State of Illinois issues an annual survey called the 5Essentials, which it asks parents & guardians to complete. Based on sound research from the University of Chicago, this feedback in "normal" years helps us understand how to better communicate with you and involve you in our decision making. We hope you fill it out this year, so we can continue to grow. Start the survey here.
New Student Registration
If you are the parent of an incoming kindergartener or new/transfer student for the 2021-2022 school year, please visit Avoca's New Student Registration page to view and complete all Pre-registration and Online Registration forms.
NEW! 2021-2022 School Fees
The district recently revised activity fees for students who participate in select extracurricular activities. Read the memo and view the fees and forms here, under "Activity Fees".
Also, the Instructional and Transportation Fees for the upcoming school have been posted to the website and can be viewed here. Please note that there is an "early bird discount" for bus fees paid by June 30! 2021-2022 Activity Fees will be posted at a later date.
