AW Spring Choral Concert
Tonight's Avoca West Spring Choral Concert will feature all three Avoca choral ensembles: Concert Choir, Gioso, and Comunità. “Won’t You Sing Along?” and will be held in the Avoca West South Gym at 6:00 p.m. Please join us for this celebratory event of raising our voices together in song!
5th Grade End-of-Year Party
The deadline to complete the 5th Grade Party form has been extended to this Friday, May 6. Please take a moment to fill it out if you have not done so already to ensure your child's participation, as well as submit your $30 in one of the following ways:
- Pay via PayPal here
- Check payable to the Avoca PTC or cash. Label your payment envelope with your child’s name and teacher. Have your child give this to their teacher.
Lastly, don't forget to submit photos:
- A 3x5 physical copy of your child’s kindergarten photo to your class teacher AND
- Email a digital copy of your child’s kindergarten photo to [email protected].
Teacher Appreciation Signs
If you signed up to receive a Teacher Appreciation sign but have not yet picked it up from the AW or MM front foyers, please do so. Pick up any time during school hours, during drop off/pick up, or have your child(ren) scoop it on the way home. Thanks for your support!

Upbeat! G.E.T. Ready to Celebrate YOU!
Last week, guest speaker and best-selling author Dr. Matthew Arau led a dynamic student leadership workshop for 100 3rd through 5th-grade students called, Upbeat! G.E.T. Ready to Celebrate YOU!
Students participated in highly-engaging activities and conversations on self-reflection, mindfulness, positive thoughts and attitudes, communication, effective leadership, and more! Thanks to the Avoca District 37 PTC for helping fund the special event and to Ms. Weismehl for coordinating the workshop!

Annual Book Fair: Volunteers Needed
