The Vision: Fall 2021 Edition
In the latest issue of The Vision, upcoming Community Engagement sessions are highlighted. Please consider attending these sessions on October 20 and November 17 at Marie Murphy. These Town Hall meetings set the stage for collecting detailed feedback from you regarding the current status and future direction of the district. Read Dr. Osburn's message for more details in his October 4, 2021, Superintendent's Corner

Early Childhood Developmental Screening Date
Avoca School District 37 offers free screenings to district residents, ages 2 ½ to 5, who may have delays in their development. These screenings cover language development, fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional behavior, and early learning. The appointments take approximately one hour to complete. Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that only one parent attend the screening with their child. Masks are required to enter the building and must be kept on during the screening.

The location for the screening is Marie Murphy School, 2921 Illinois Road, Wilmette, Illinois. Please call the Student Services Office at 847-728-4142 to make an appointment. The Fall scheduled screening date is Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Thanks to everyone that has paid their Avoca PTC dues. Dues are $25/family, and we're still collecting for the year. We accept cash or check which you can drop off at the office of your child's school. We also accept PayPal which can be accessed from our website here. If you've already downloaded the Membership Toolkit app, we have a store called "Join the PTC" that will allow you to check out with PayPal. Here are some tips for the new app that gives you access to the directory. If you're interested in signing up for our volunteer opportunities, they're all listed on the left sidebar of either app or our AtoZ website. If you have any questions, please contact Ann Heinz at [email protected].
