Early Childhood Developmental Screening Date
Avoca School District 37 offers free screenings to district residents, ages 2 ½ to 5, who may have delays in their development. These screenings cover language development, fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional behavior, and early learning. The appointments take approximately one hour to complete. Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that only one parent attend the screening with their child. Masks are required to enter the building and must be kept on during the screening.
The location for the screening is Marie Murphy School, 2921 Illinois Road, Wilmette, Illinois. Please call the Student Services office at 847-728-4142 to make an appointment. The fall scheduled screening date is Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Caramel Apple Day Fundraiser
Celebrate the fall season with a treat! The 8th Grade Committee is sponsoring a Caramel Apple Day fundraiser - open to all Avoca District students.
- $3 per caramel apple; pay by cash, check, or Venmo (@mariemurphy2022).
- Cash or Checks (made out to Marie Murphy 8th Grade Committee) can be dropped off in the front office and left in the 8th Grade basket/mailbox.
- Orders and Payment due October 15 - to be delivered to students at the end of the day on October 20.

Tea Company School Fundraiser
The PTC has teamed up with the Tea company to run a district-wide fundraiser from October 4-12. Tea brings the world home to kids with modern, travel-inspired styles designed to spark curiosity. Let's sing together again! Gioso begins this Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. It is not too late for your child to join. Here is the information and permission slip for both Gioso and Comunita, which will be starting on October 25. Sing on!
PTC: AtoZ Directory & Membership Update
Thank you to everyone that has paid PTC dues. We have now restricted access to AtoZ to families that have paid their PTC dues. Dues are only $25 per family. You can still pay membership dues by dropping off cash or a check at the office of your child's school. The quickest way to pay for membership dues is by paying via PayPal here. If you already have the Membership Toolkit app, we have a store on there called "Join the PTC." You can check out via PayPal there also. As a reminder, all families need to make a new account on the new website. AtoZ has a new system and even though you had an account on the old website, everyone needs to create a new account. The new app that you can have on your phone is called Membership Toolkit. The old app can be deleted because it will no longer be used. Here are some tips on how to access the Directory on AtoZ.
