Update: Avoca West Construction Project

Hello, Avoca Elementary School Families and Neighbors!
We hope you are having a rejuvenating and peaceful summer. At Avoca School District, we have been closing out another successful school year while excitedly preparing for the upcoming one. One of the biggest things we have been taking on as a District is to provide a temporary cooling system to our Avoca West Elementary School.
Our administrative team and Board have been working tirelessly with a fantastic architect team, Studio GC, to come up with temporary relief for Avoca West. We realize that providing a comfortable space is not only crucial to ensure our students thrive and focus on their education, but also to have our staff be able to excel at their jobs. Our Board was supportive in getting this moving forward, and we have begun implementing our temporary relief plan!
We attached an FAQ below to answer a few questions you may have regarding our temporary relief plan. We want to keep you informed as much as possible as we realize our
schools are a part of our families’ lives as well as a crucial part of the neighborhood. Our hope is these answers will solve any worries you may have concerning our construction.
