Meet the Principal
My name is Margaret Burke and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal at Avoca West. I bring with me 17 years of experience in education, during which I have had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade throughout the Chicagoland area.
For the past four years, I have served as an Assistant Principal in Park Ridge, where I developed a deep appreciation for the power of collaborative leadership and the importance of fostering a positive, inclusive school culture. My experiences have strengthened my belief that building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families is at the heart of a thriving school.
As we begin this new school year together, I am eager to work in partnership with our dedicated faculty, curious students, and supportive families to create a safe, welcoming environment where all learners can grow and succeed. I believe in open communication, shared goals, and celebrating each child’s unique journey.
I look forward to a year filled with learning, connection, and achievement.
