Mrs. Zebro

I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Chicago. After graduating from Skidmore College in upstate New York, I moved back to the city and absolutely adored everything it had to offer. Our little family moved up north to be closer to work, which gives me much more time with my darling daughters, Claire and Jane, and my wonderful husband, Mr. Zebro. We had a fabulous summer enjoying the parks in the area, traveling to see family, and spending lots of time with friends.

I began my teaching journey as an assistant teacher at The Latin School of Chicago. I taught there for three years, while getting my Masters degree in Elementary Education at DePaul University. As a teacher, I believe in making our classroom a second home; a safe space to make mistakes, take risks, create, learn, love and work through tricky situations. We will celebrate differences and encourage and support one another. I love our little classroom and feel so fortunate to have found my passion for teaching so early on in my life. Not to mention that I have learned so much from my students. One student told me that the tallest building in Chicago used to be called the “Serious Tower.” ;-) The world is a different place when you’re five and six, and as a teacher, I love being a part of that world for a few hours every day.
