This is my 5th year teaching at Avoca West, working primarily with the 3rd and 4th grade teams. I was born and raised in Deerfield and attended Arizona State University receiving my Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies in Sociology and Childhood and Family Development with a certificate in Early Intervention. After working for several years in early childhood, I returned to school at DePaul to get a Master's in Education with dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education. I currently live in Chicago with my husband and son.
I support students in all areas; Math, Reading, Writing, and Behavior. My goal is to meet the needs of my students by supporting them inside and outside of the classroom. Their progress is measured by the progress of their IEP goals. Data and work samples are collected from my students on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Parents should expect progress reports three times a year. Once in January, once in June, and at an annual or triennial IEP meeting.
