I am thrilled to serve as the KIDS teacher at Avoca West. This is my second year at AW. Last year, I worked as a Kindergarten classroom teacher. Previously, I taught PreKindergarten in the city for five years. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Dayton. Go Flyers!
When I am not at school, I work as the Director of Communications and Social Media for a non-profit called Coming Up Rosies.
My philosophy of education is to meet the children where they are developmentally. I believe all children are unique and deserve a safe, positive learning environment. I believe a child's needs are not met if all that is taught is academics. I focus on developmentally appropriate practices that allow children to develop their social, emotional, cognitive, language and motor skills.
