Behavior Expectations

Classroom Discipline/Rewards

I believe in using positive reinforcement to promote good behavior. In my classroom, I use a rewards system in which students earn "Greenberg Gold" for outstanding behavior. Gold is passed out throughout the week to students  who make good choices, use kind words, take learning risks, and collaborate nicely with each other. Each student has a wallet where they keep their Greenberg Gold. Students use their Gold to shop at our Greenberg Gold Shop.

Every Friday afternoon, the class gathers together to reflect on our choices and behavior as a WHOLE throughout the week. Prices of items fluctuate based on the whole class behavior. Students must work together with the common goal of having prices decrease weekly.
