Cicadapalooza Fundraiser
The cicadapocalypse in our neighborhoods has made for an interesting end of the school year. This Thursday, we will have fun with Avoca West students at lunch, having a Cicadapalooza for charity. Ms. Henson, Ms. Rajab, and administrators will be outside during the lunch festivities on Thursday cooking up cicadas and eating them...for charity. Your child can join in the fun! They will be FULLY cooked. There will be sweet, savory, and even dipping sauces.
Details:
- During lunch (about 11:30-1), we will cook cicadas (savory and sweet).
- For $1, your student can eat a cicada.
- For $5, I will eat a cicada. (10 max.)
- For $5, a teacher/staff member will eat a cicada. (Many have signed up already.)
- For $10, Assistant Superintendent Moore will eat a cicada.
- For $20, Dr. Arreguin will eat a cicada.

Parent Volunteers Needed: Summer Policy Committee
Over the summer, we will have a committee of teachers, parents/guardians, and board members meet 1 to 2 times to review updated policy recommendations. If you are available and interested in participating in this committee, please complete this Google form.
Volunteers Needed for MM End-of-Year Party
Celebrate the end of the school year with us on June 6th for our 6th and 7th graders! We need your support. Parent volunteers are needed from 11:15 to 3:15 to assist with party activities, serve lunch, and help with cleanup. We’re also seeking snack donations for the kids. Urgent: Marie Murphy Room Fees Due
We need your help to show our gratitude to the amazing teachers, staff, bus drivers, and facilities staff at Marie Murphy! We're collecting contributions for end-of-year thank-you gifts, including a $10 gift card, sweet treat, and personalized card for each of the 75 staff members.
