2023 Intercultural Night
Avoca's biggest and most beloved community-building event of the year is right around the corner - Intercultural Night! Mark your calendars for November 11, 2023, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Marie Murphy, as we celebrate our diverse cultures and strengthen our bonds. This year's theme is All ONE Avoca 37. Expect an evening filled with an array of cultural performances, music, dance, food from around the globe, a World Market, and much more!
 The Intercultural Registration Form is now open. Please complete this form if you plan on attending, contributing food, signing up for the Talent Show, and/or volunteering by Friday, October 27. Ticket prices and payment options are listed on the form. The easiest and preferred method is through the Membership Toolkit via credit/debit card (no transaction fee).
Attend an All In For Avoca 37 Open House this Week!
Thanks to everyone who joined us this past weekend for our first All In For Avoca 37 Open House at Avoca West! We had a great turnout and community feedback.

Now Accepting 2023-2024 Staff Innovation Grants Applications
There are two windows for Avoca staff to submit a grant proposal for the 2023-24 school year: November 17, 2023, and February 16, 2024. Proposals can be submitted at any time before either deadline.
Applicants will be notified as follows:
- November 17 applications will be notified by December 13, 2023
- February 16 applications will be notified by March 12, 2024

PTC Fall Celebration at Marie Murphy
We still need a couple more volunteers to help out at a mini Fall celebration for Marie Murphy students on Wednesday, October 18th, from 2:30-3:30 pm. Please consider lending a hand and Sign Up Here. Roots & Shoots Pet Supply Drive
Scholastic Pajama Drive
We are collecting new sets of pajamas to donate to the Family Focus Program in Evanston. For every pair we collect, Scholastic will donate a new book to a child in need. If you would like to help, please send new pajamas for children ages 3-14 to Avoca West or Marie Murphy between Monday, October 16 and Friday, November 17. Questions? Marie Murphy Room Fees
Marie Murphy Room Fees support special winter and year-end gifts for staff members as a thank-you for going above and beyond every day in shaping our children's lives. Last year, families like yours helped provide $10 gift cards, sweet treats, and personalized cards to over 60 staff members.
