KEI

A unique component of Kindergarten is the Kindergarten Early Intervention (KEI) program. Students who qualify for KEI receive extra of instruction reinforcing basic skills four days a week. Learners in this program work in small groups and are taught with a hands-on approach. Individual needs are addressed for each child. Students learn through a variety of activities, which review the skills taught during the regular kindergarten day. The highlight of the program is that it promotes student readiness for first grade. Students involved in KEI are able to improve their ability in language arts and mathematics. In addition, these learners are also able to further develop their fine motor and social interaction skills.
